Officers from Redcar and Cleveland attended Coronation Street in Carlin How to arrested a wanted man shortly after 2am this morning, Wednesday 11th December.
Upon police arrival, the man climbed out of a window and onto the roof of the premises and threw objects at officers.
Concerned for the safety of the man on the roof, a negotiator was called to the scene whilst specialist officers monitored the situation with a drone.
Eventually, officers were able to talk the 31-year-old man down from the roof and he was promptly arrested and taken into police custody for questioning.
The property was later searched and two air weapons were seized.
Enquiries are continuing.
