Officers from Middlesbrough’s Proactive Team seized two vehicles over the weekend following patrols across the town.
At around 2.30pm on Sunday 1st December, officers witnessed a vehicle driving erratically on Marton Road in Middlesbrough.
The vehicle was later found unattended on Charnley Green, Middlesbrough, and further enquiries identified that the vehicle was reported stolen and showing false plates.
The Ford Focus ST will now be returned to its owner after it has been forensically examined.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the driver along with anyone linked to the theft. Anyone with information should contact us on 101, quoting reference number 228089.
Around the same time, a Black BMW was also recovered by officers as it was suspected to have been used in crime. Weapons and a balaclava were also recovered from near this vehicle.
