Officers are urgently seeking a man who is believed to have been assaulted and seriously injured in Grangetown in the early hours of today (Saturday 28th December).
Police received reports of an assault taking place on Eversham Road in Grangetown shortly before 2:15am. Upon police arrival a 43-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and affray. He was taken to police custody for questioning.
It is believed that a man suffered significant injuries but had left the area before police arrived at the scene. He is described as in his 20s and wearing a white coat. Officers need to ensure that he is safe and has received medical treatment.
