Police Dog Razor and his handler PC Richardson from The Matrix Team detained two teenagers in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 18th December, believed to have failed to stop for police in a stolen vehicle.
When the white Audi made off from police in Thornaby, officers in The Matrix used a drone to follow the vehicle before Razor and his handler managed to capture the suspects.
A 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving without insurance, possession of a class b drug, theft of a motor vehicle and drug driving. He remains in police custody for questioning.
A 16-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of drug driving, theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving without a licence, failing to stop and possession of a class b drug. He has been bailed pending further investigation.
A 20-year-old man was arrested shortly after the two teens, on suspicion of driving without insurance, theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous driving, failing to stop and drug driving. He remains in police custody where he is being questioned by officers.
