Police are appealing for members of the public to check CCTV after a burglary in Redcar on Thursday 1st February.
The incident happened around 5am on Tenby Road, when a man walked into a property, before being interrupted by the victim. He then made off empty-handed, along Newquay Road.
The man is believed to have been walking around the estate in the Tenby Road area before gaining access to the address.
The suspect is described as around 6ft tall, slim build, wearing a distinct bright blue windbreaker-type jacket with the hood up and he walked with a distinctive gait.
Officers would appeal to local residents in the area to check CCTV around that time for anyone matching the description.
Anyone who may have CCTV or information can contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting 018800 or Crimestoppers anonymously online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by calling 0800 555 111.
