At approximately 4.25am on Thursday 8 February police were informed of a number of men acting suspiciously in a vehicle on Hartington Road.
A warrant was executed at a property on Hartington Road and officers discovered a cannabis farm inside.
Following enquiries, the vehicle was located in West Yorkshire and following a short pursuit stopped by officers. A search of the vehicle led to a large quantity of cannabis being seized.
A 20-year-old man inside the car was arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis and is currently in police custody.
Inspector Matthew Reeves, from Stockton’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “The information we received led officers to seize a significant amount of drugs as well as dismantle a cannabis farm further disrupting serious and organised crime in our town.
“I want to take this opportunity to encourage members of the public to keep being our eyes and our ears and reporting any information you have relating to drug activity, knowing that we will take action.”
