A man was arrested after the stop of a vehicle led to the recovery of a significant amount of cash, suspected class A drugs and a weapon.
Matrix Team officers stopped a Nissan Qashqai on the A19 in Stockton around 12:35am yesterday morning, Tuesday 13th February.
A significant amount of cash, believed to be around £50,000, was seized from the vehicle and a small amount of suspected cocaine was recovered. A baseball bat was also seized from the car.
A 40-year-old man from London was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. He has since been bailed whilst enquiries continue.
