Officers from the Proactive Team arrested two men after witnessing a suspected drug deal in Middlesbrough.
Whilst on patrol on Friday 2nd February at around 10.30pm, officers sighted suspected drug activity on Essex Street, Newport.
They attended the scene and arrested two men on suspicion of drug offences. Officers also seized suspected drugs.
A 20-year-old man was arrested and subsequently charged with possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of Class B drugs. He appeared in court on Monday 5th February where he was bailed with conditions.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and possession of Class B drugs. He was bailed pending further enquiries.
