Officers were called to Yarm High Street shortly before midnight on Saturday 17th February following reports of an altercation.
One man suffered head injuries while another man suffered facial and hand injuries and they were both taken to hospital.
A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of affray and a 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder. Both were bailed with conditions pending further enquiries.
