Sometime between 1.30am and 2.30am on Wednesday 17 January, two unknown offenders caused damage to one address on Roebuck Close and then another property on Boar Lane in the Lowfields area.
The men are described as wearing all dark clothing, padded jackets with dark hats and gloves.
Enquiries in relation to the incidents are ongoing and as part of their investigation, officers are asking anyone who may have information, CCTV or doorbell footage to get in touch.
Detective Constable Philip Lamb, of Stockton CID, said: “We believe the two offenders were causing damage to both properties to gain access to them.
“We now have a number of enquiries underway to identify them and I am appealing directly to members of the public to come forward if they may have witnessed anything suspicious around the time that they took place.
“I am also asking residents with CCTV or doorbell cameras in the Lowfields are to please check them to see if it shows anything that could assist with our investigation.”
Anyone with information or footage is urged to contact Cleveland Police by calling 101 and quoting SE24009507.
Information can also be provided anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
