Five males have been arrested after police located a vehicle which was reported stolen from outside a property in Middlesbrough.
Officers received a report of a burglary on Wilton Green in Middlesbrough at around 6.30pm on Monday 8th January in which a Vauxhall was reportedly stolen.
A short time later, the suspected stolen vehicle was spotted on CCTV on Eston High Street and officers attended the scene and followed the vehicle.
The vehicle came to a stop when it collided with a bollard on Wilton Way near the A174 and five males made off from the scene.
With the help of the National Police Air Service, the drone unit and the dogs unit, four males were located in a large woodland area and were arrested. A fifth male was arrested later that evening.
The males, aged 14, 15, 16, 16 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of drug driving, burglary and several traffic offences. They remain in police custody.
