Officers from Stockton CID have arrested five males in connection with three knife-point robberies which occurred in Stockton over the last two weeks.
The first incident occurred at Betfred on Norton High Street on 2nd January while the second incident occurred at Chisholm Bookmakers on Darlington Lane, Norton, on 13th January.
The third incident occurred at Johnson Cleaners on Norton High Street on 16th February.
Five males aged 37, 21, 20, 16, and 14, have been arrested in connection with the robberies and they currently remain in police custody.
A 20-year-old man who was initially arrested on suspicion of robbery following the incident at Betfred on Norton High Street on 2nd January was released with no further action.
He was bailed for attempting to cause grievous bodily harm in relation to a separate incident.
