Five arrested in connection with Norton robberies

Officers from Stockton CID have arrested five males in connection with three knife-point robberies which occurred in Stockton over the last two weeks.

The first incident occurred at Betfred on Norton High Street on 2^nd January while the second incident occurred at Chisholm Bookmakers on Darlington Lane, Norton, on 13^th January.

The third incident occurred at Johnson Cleaners on Norton High Street on 16^th February.

Five males aged 37, 21, 20, 16, and 14, have been arrested in connection with the robberies and they currently remain in police custody.

A 20-year-old man who was initially arrested on suspicion of robbery following the incident at Betfred on Norton High Street on 2^nd January was released with no further action.

He was bailed for attempting to cause grievous bodily harm in relation to a separate incident.
