A 26-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent and possession of a weapon in a public place in connection with an incident on Sandringham Road in Hartlepool shortly before midnight on Friday 12 January.
A 30-year-old man suffered a deep cut to his nose in the incident.
The man appeared at Cleveland Remand Court this morning, were he was remanded in custody until his next court appearance.
