Officers from the Proactive Team arrested a man following reports of a male trying car doors in Middlesbrough.
In the early hours of Sunday morning (14th January) while carrying out plain-clothed patrols in the Newport area, officers became aware of a male trying car doors on Crescent Road and Surrey Street.
Officers quickly attended the scene and arrested a 46-year-old man in connection with the incident.
Further enquiries have been carried out by Response officers and officers from Middlesbrough’s Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) interviewed and charged the man.
He was charged with vehicle interference and possession of a Class A drug and he was remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court today (15th January).
