East Cleveland neighbourhood officers have pledged to continue to act on community intelligence after they dismantled a cannabis farm in Lingdale on Tuesday morning (16th January).
A 23-year-old man was arrested at the property on Catherine Street, Lingdale, on suspicion of production of a class B drug (cannabis) and he was interviewed and later charged with the offence, attending Teesside Magistrates’ Court later that day.
He was remanded again after his court appearance, to reattend in due course.
East Cleveland Neighbourhoods Inspector Neil Deluce said: “We would encourage anyone with information on drug use or dealing in their community to report to police at any time, online via the website, or by calling 101.
"Community information can often complement existing police intelligence and it means we can target our activity where it's needed most.”
If you don’t want to speak to police you can pass information anonymously to independent charity Crimestoppers online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org or by phoning 0800 555 111.
