As part of #NeigbourhoodPolicingWeek, PCSO Thompson of Hartlepool Neighbourhoods held a pop-up shop at Boots on Hartlepool Marina yesterday afternoon, Monday 22 January.
He was on hand to chat and to answer any questions to members of the public and staff at Boots and other stores on the retail park, whilst providing a reassuring police presence.
Whilst PCSO Thompson engaged with the public at the retail park, Neighbourhood Officers went out on arrest attempts for wanted shoplifters.
A 46-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of a theft from Boots and later charged with two counts of theft from a shop, to appear at court on the afternoon of 8 February.
