Eston NPT officers outfoxed two males who mistakenly thought they could hide themselves and the stolen motorbike they were riding on a field.
The officers knew the riders had headed towards a dead end and they recovered it moments later, with the males making off from the scene.
The bike had been placed into the boot of a 5 door hatchback car when it was stolen in Middlesbrough earlier this month (on Friday 5th January) and enquiries to identify those responsible are on-going.
