Police officers and PCSOs have been carrying out patrols to tackle nuisance off-road bikes as part of #NeighbourhoodPolicingWeek.
PCSO David Fowler, PCSO Pauline Duffield and PCSO Howard Kirk patrolled Summerhill and the land on Duchy Farm on West Park yesterday, putting up notices to let nuisance riders know that we are watching them and will seize bikes if they continue to ride on this land.
Inspector Adrian Dack said: “These riders are a nuisance, they are causing damage to land and above all they are a danger to members of the public.
“We have drones to monitor these areas and gather evidence against riders. When we catch you, we will not hesitate to seize these bikes and dispose of them.”
