Officers from the Proactive Team arrested two men in Stockton after recovering suspected Class A drugs.
Acting on intelligence, the team were conducting patrols in the Rose Court area of Stockton on Monday evening (29th January) when they observed a man leaving an address on Ware Street.
Officers carried out a stop search of the man and recovered a quantity of drugs, believed to be crack cocaine.
They then entered the property and located a second man along with more suspected Class A drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Both men, aged 43 and 35, were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs and they are currently in custody whilst further enquiries are conducted.
Sergeant Darren Williamson said: “This is yet another example of officers utilising their stop and search powers efficiently, acting with legitimacy and proportionality.
“We will continue to relentlessly pursue those who engage in criminal activity and cause the most harm to our communities.”
