At 7.45am on Friday 26 July police received reports of a one-vehicle collision on Fishponds roundabout.
The A174 was fully closed between the Greystone roundabout and Wilton but has since been reopened.
Ambulance attended to the scene and a man who was inside the vehicle has been taken to Kirkleatham walk-in-centre for treatment.
Officers would like to make drivers aware that there is still a build up of traffic in the area.
