Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage after two boys reportedly threw a rock through the windscreen of a car on the A66 (mad mile) towards Lazenby.
The incident happened around 2:50pm yesterday, Thursday 25th July.
The mother and daughter travelling in the vehicle were thankfully unhurt in the incident when the car was damaged.
The boys are described as aged 10-12 and both with fair hair. The first was large build, wearing a light blue T-shirt with dark shorts. The other is described as slim build wearing a dark blue T-shirt and dark shorts.
Both boys made off, crossing the A174 towards Wilton Golf Club.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anyone who may have dash cam footage is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number SE24140896.
