Two men were arrested and suspected cocaine was recovered by Middlesbrough Proactive Team officers this weekend.
On Saturday 20th July, the officers carried out two drugs warrants at addresses and recovered weapons and drugs paraphernalia, although no arrests were made.
Around 7pm the same day, officers spotted a wanted man on Normanby Road who made off on foot, but was detained after a short foot pursuit. The 23-year-old man has been recalled to prison.
On Sunday 21st July, officers saw a man who they suspected of drug dealing on Westward Close. A 44-year-old man was arrested and officers seized around £3,000 worth of suspected cocaine and other drug paraphernalia.
The man remains in police custody at this time on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
