A dispersal order is in place after increased reports of antisocial behaviour involving young people, adults and vehicles in the central Redcar area.
Over the last seven days, officers have received increased reports of incidents involving cars being driven antisocially in Majuba car park and incidents in the central Redcar area, such as reports of ASB from retail premises involving both young persons and adults.
The order, which remains in place for 48 hours – the maximum length of time that legislation allows, means that those involved in antisocial behaviour in the designated area can be asked to leave the area immediately. Should they return to the location within the 48 hours, they could be arrested.
The order remains in place until 2.30pm on Wednesday 24th July.
The area covered is bounded by: Majuba Road, the North West point of Majuba car park, the sea wall and boundary with the beach along the sea front along Newcomen Terrace and the Esplanade, Oxley Street, Lord Street, behind Morrisons to West Dyke Road, along the walkway to Kirkleatham Street, Kirkleatham Lane, Bridge Road, Majuba Road – Redcar.
