Man arrested after searches by PD Sabre.

PD Sabre from our Matrix Team was deployed on Wednesday (10^th July) after a vehicle pursuit of a car which had been reported stolen from Hemlington earlier that day.

The pursuit went into the Whinney Banks area of Middlesbrough and a man from inside the vehicle decamped on foot.

Sabre searched the area, quickly locating a 20-year-old man who was then arrested on suspicion of theft of motor vehicle, dangerous driving, driving without a licence or insurance and on suspicion of failing to stop for police.

After a roadside test he was further arrested on suspicion of drug driving.

The man was interviewed and bailed pending further enquiries.
