Police received a call from ambulance service colleagues reporting a 38-year-old man with a stab wound who was located on Brogden Green, Middlesbrough, around 4:40pm on Friday 26th July.
An incident is believed to have happened around this time on Dunholm Avenue, before the man made his way to Brogden Green.
The man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, where he remains whilst receiving treatment.
Enquiries are ongoing and Middlesbrough CID officers would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the incident on Dunholm Avenue to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 141743.
