Early last week Redcar NPT officers seized a motorbike (pictured) after CCTV operator colleagues reported seeing a bike doing wheelies and driving in an antisocial manner on Redcar Lane.
They carried out an area search and stopped the bike on Lord Street in the town. The driver was reported for careless driving, reported to the DVLA for using a vehicle whilst SORN, and he was also reported to Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council for breaching the Public Space Protection Order in relation to nuisance vehicle use.
On Saturday officers from Greater Eston NPT attended a report of theft of power tools worth hundreds of pounds from B&Q at Cleveland Retail Park. They located a man matching the description of the suspect nearby and a 43-year-old man was arrested and later charged with theft.
Further enquiries revealed the man was wanted on warrant for failing to appear at court in relation to a commercial burglary in Normanby last year so he was remanded into custody.
And the next day, back at the retail park, officers stopped a van and carried out checks on the driver. The 37-year-old man was found not to have a licence and to be driving without insurance.
The van (pictured) was therefore seized, and the driver reported for driving without a licence and without insurance. He was also reported to the DVLA for tax offences.
