Redcar and Cleveland’s Proactive Team arrest three and seize bikes in two-day crackdown

Redcar and Cleveland’s Proactive Team arrested three men and seized several vehicles during proactive patrols in Grangetown and Eston on Tuesday 16^th and Wednesday 17^th of July.

A 23-year-old man was arrested on Eversham Road in Grangetown on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs. He has been bailed for further enquiries.

A 17-year-old was also arrested on Tennyson Avenue in Grangetown on suspicion of possession of a Class C drug and possession of a bladed article. He has been bailed for further enquiries.

On Barley Hill Close in Eston, officers seized an Electric Sur-Ron bike, which was reportedly seen driving on pavements, along with an estimated £1,000 worth of Class A drugs. A man made off from the scene and enquiries are currently ongoing to locate him.

A second Electric Sur-Ron bike was recovered from a man on Heatherfields Road in Eston and the rider was reported for driving with no licence and no insurance.

Officers also seized a hybrid bike from Clynes Road in Grangetown following a short pursuit and recovered a car for having no insurance on Tennyson Avenue in Grangetown.

A man who was wanted in connection with an arson with intent to endanger life was also arrested. He was later charged and remanded by Redcar CID.

On Eston High Street, a vehicle was stop searched and a man was found in possession of cannabis and was reported for summons.

Two men made from police and when searched on Broadway in Grangetown one of them found in possession of cannabis and was reported for summons.
