We’re reminding Normanby residents to keep their homes and vehicles secure after a number of break-ins have been reported in the past few days.
Four houses were targeted – one door and one window had been left unlocked, one incident involved forced entry to the address and the other was an unsuccessful attempt to force a door.
Jewellery was stolen in one instance and a car were stolen in another, in a so-called two in one burglary.
Elsewhere there was an unsuccessful attempt to break into a garage and we also received a report that bikes had been stolen from a shed.
We’d urge you to lock your windows and doors even if you’re home and remove any valuables from your vehicle when you leave it unattended.
Whilst no arrests have been made at this stage, enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal for anyone with information, doorbell/dashcam or cctv footage which could assist to get in touch.
