Stockton neighbourhood officers PCs Hunt and Sinclair have been out and about across the wider district in the past week – visiting high streets, town centres and schools to engage with our communities – young and old.
On Monday (15th July) they conducted foot patrols on Yarm high street, speaking to residents and shoppers and even a very friendly dog!
One resident said: “It’s lovely to see officers out and about spending time in the community.”
The next day it was over to Norton where a resident told them “It’s nice to speak with officers that care” and on Wednesday they were pleased to spend time in Billingham town centre where they enjoyed speaking with passers-by.
Our younger residents weren’t forgotten; a big THANK YOU to St John the Baptist Primary School and to St Cuthbert’s Catholic Primary School for having our PCs and their colleagues PCSO Townsend and Fletcher to visit.
They spoke to the children about antisocial behaviour, answered questions from the curious youngsters and even let them try on police uniform and have a look inside the police vans.
Thanks for having them – they look forward to seeing you again before too long!
