On Friday, three men (17, 19 and 20) were arrested in Hartlepool, and seized three off-road bikes, one of which is believed to have been stolen.
This follows extensive enquiries by Hartlepool NPT into a gathering on 30th April of a large number of people who, despite a prior warning from police, reportedly caused upset and distress to members of the community by driving in a dangerous manner.
The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, and of driving with no licence and no insurance.
The 19-year-old was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, of driving with no licence and no insurance and the 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, driving with no licence or insurance and failing to stop for police.
They were all interviewed and released on bail pending further enquiries.
We would like to thank those members of the public who supplied information during our investigation and would urge anyone else who hasn’t yet spoken to police and who has information on other riders involved in any antisocial or dangerous driving to contact us on 101.
If you don’t want to speak to police you can pass information anonymously to www.crimestoppers-uk.org or phone 0800 555 111.
