Officers are appealing for information, doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage as an investigation continues into an assault which left a 62-year-old man receiving hospital treatment.
It happened at around 5.20pm on Saturday 15th June outside the Sainsbury’s store on Bankfields Road, Eston when the victim was assaulted by another man and sustained serious facial injuries which were treated in hospital overnight.
Police believe a number of members of the public were in the area at the time and would ask them, as well as anyone else with information/footage to contact Cleveland Police on the 101 number quoting ref 112273.
If you don’t want to speak to police you can pass information anonymously to independent charity www.crimestopppers-uk.org or phone them on 0800 555 111.
