Members of the Cleveland Police Cadets visited the Matrix Team in Wynyard on Tuesday 4th June.
The cadets had an action-packed day, including learning about the firearms used by our Armed Response Unit and the specialist vehicles used by the Matrix Team. They also spent some time with dogs and officers from our dog section.
Superintendent Darren Bainbridge said “All the team enjoyed speaking to the cadets and demonstrating everyday life for the Matrix. They particularly enjoyed learning about the specialist equipment and vehicles we use.
“Our cadets are the police officers of the future, and each young person who visited us has the potential to be great officers in armed response, roads policing, the dog section or our tactical disruption team.
I’d like to thank my whole team for making the day so interesting and educational, all of our cadets for their enthusiasm and their parents for allowing them to come and see us they were a real credit to their families and the organisation.”
