At around 7.20pm this evening, Wednesday 12 June 2024, a collision involving a police vehicle and a car happened in Stockton.
The incident happened on Norton Road, when a police vehicle responding to an emergency incident collided with a green Dacia being driven by a member of the public.
The four occupants in the Dacia were a driver, front seat passenger and two rear passengers. Two of the passengers were taken to hospital with injuries not believed to be serious or life-threatening. The other occupants of the car did not sustain injuries.
There were two police officers in the police vehicle, a driver and a front seat passenger. Neither officers suffered injuries.
The full circumstances surrounding the collision will now be investigated.
