A 23-year-old man has died following an incident in Stockton yesterday evening, Wednesday 26 June 2024.
The incident happened in Wrensfield Road shortly before 6.40pm, when the victim was stabbed by another man.
The 23-year-old victim was taken to hospital, where he sadly died a short time later.
A 28-year-old man was arrested shortly after the incident and he is being held in custody on suspicion of murder.
Officers are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
Police will remain at the scene and in the surrounding area for some time while the full circumstances of the incident are established.
