A member of the public contacted police shortly after midday today (Saturday 8th June) to report a burglary on Virginia Gardens, with a suspect still on the scene.
Officers from Middlesbrough Response arrived at the scene within just three minutes of the call coming into police and arrested the suspect.
The 23-year-old man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of burglary and taken to police custody for questioning.
Big high five to the member of their public for assisting officers at the scene!
