Two males were detained by officers from the Proactive Team after they allegedly witnessed suspicious activity near an alley gate on Sadberge Street in North Ormesby yesterday evening (Saturday 2nd March).
A 17-year-old boy was stopped and searched, then arrested for possession with intent to supply Class A drugs after dozens of deals of crack cocaine, cash and phones were recovered.
And a 49-year-old man was detained and arrested on suspicion of obstructing police.
He was further arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs after officers recovered an amount of crack cocaine.
He was interviewed and bailed pending further enquiries, whilst the 17-year-old was charged and remanded to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court tomorrow morning, Monday 4th March.
Officers continue to carry out targeted patrols in the area in response to concerns raised by the community.
