Man Arrested and Suspected Drugs Seized in Proactive Patrols

Suspected class A drugs were seized and a man arrested following patrols by the Proactive Team in Middlesbrough on Saturday 9^th March.

Officers carrying out plain clothed patrols in the area of Valley Road and Longlands attempted to stop a male in the street after they suspected him of being involved in drugs activity.

The male made off and after a short pursuit was searched and found in possession of suspected cocaine, believed to be worth hundreds of pounds.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and was later bailed whilst enquiries continue.
