Suspected class A drugs were seized and a man arrested following patrols by the Proactive Team in Middlesbrough on Saturday 9th March.
Officers carrying out plain clothed patrols in the area of Valley Road and Longlands attempted to stop a male in the street after they suspected him of being involved in drugs activity.
The male made off and after a short pursuit was searched and found in possession of suspected cocaine, believed to be worth hundreds of pounds.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and was later bailed whilst enquiries continue.
