🛒 As part of Safer Business Day of Action, Hartlepool Neighbourhood Policing Team are out engaging with retailers and shoppers today to clamp down on thefts from shops and violence towards shop workers.

The teams are also out on arrest attempts for the district's top five shoplifters. Two have been arrested so far. 👮
A 31-year-old woman was arrested in Baden Street in the town on suspicion of nine counts of theft from a shop.
A 35-year-old man has also been arrested in South Parade, on suspicion of theft from Boots the Chemist.
Both have been taken to police custody for questioning.
