We are appealing for witnesses, especially any drivers with dashcam footage, as enquiries continue into a collision involving a Matrix dog vehicle .
It happened on the A66 westbound near the A19 south off slip road just before 4pm yesterday (Monday 27th May) and involved the police vehicle and a silver Ford Mondeo.
A female passenger in the Mondeo sustained minor injuries and was taken to hospital as a precaution.
There were no injuries to any police officer or police dog.
