Police are appealing for a driver to come forward as they investigate the circumstances of a traffic incident in which a child was injured.
It happened yesterday (Monday 13th May) at 9.15am outside Heron Foods on Birchington Avenue in Grangetown as the child was crossing the road with his mother.
The youngster fell to the ground sustaining cuts and bruises to his arms and legs and he attended James Cook University Hospital for an injury to his foot.
The driver of the Audi A3 did stop at the scene however she didn’t leave any details and left before police arrived.
We would appeal for her and any witnesses who have not yet spoken to police to contact Cleveland Police via the 101 number as soon as possible.
