Two men have been arrested and officers are looking for three other men, in connection with an incident which left a 35-year-old man in a serious condition in hospital.
The incident happened around 8.20pm on Friday 17 May 2024 at an address in Hubbard Walk, Middlesbrough, when the victim was shot at with a firearm.
A 25-year-old man and a 19-year-old man, both from Midlesbrough, were arrested over the weekend on suspicion of attempted murder. The 25-year-old man has been charged with Attempted Murder and the 19-year-old man has been released on police bail.
Officers investigating the incident continue to look for three other men in connection with the incident.
A black coloured Kia Sorento VRM NV57 WLH was believed used in the incident. Police are appealing for anyone who may have seen this vehicle on the day to contact police.
Two other men, aged 28 and 58, both from Middlesbrough, were arrested and charged with Violent Disorder and appeared in court this morning. Both men were remanded into custody.
There is no threat to the wider public and it is believed this was an isolated incident.
