Man charged after officers attend property in Grangetown

A 57-year-old man has appeared in court after being charged with possession of a firearm and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Officers attended Broadway in Grangetown in the early hours of Friday morning (24^th May) and recovered a firearm and suspected Class A drugs.

The man was charged and remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court this morning (25^th May).

He was further remanded in custody until his next court appearance on 18^th June.

Detectives are continuing their investigation into recent firearms offences in Grangetown, which has so far resulted in several arrests.
