Police are appealing after a man was assaulted resulting in a broken jaw in Ingleby Barwick.
The incident happened between 00:10am and 00:20am on Tuesday 4th June, after a man aged in his fifties used the cash point at Tesco on Myton Way.
A group of four males were in the car park, they had a football with them and are believed to be teenagers approximately 16-18 years old.
A verbal altercation followed, then two of the group proceeded to assault the male by punching or kicking him, causing him to fall to the floor.
The man attended James Cook University Hospital, where he remains whilst requiring surgery for a broken jaw.
