Redcar CID have charged a 50-year-old man in connection with an assault in Guisborough.
The incident occurred at around 8.15pm on Friday 10th May in the vicinity of Stakesby Close in Guisborough.
A 52-year-old man suffered a number of stab wounds and was taken to hospital where his injuries were not deemed to be life-threatening.
The 50-year-old man was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of a bladed article, intentional strangulation and assault by beating.
He was remanded in custody to appear at Teesside Magistrates’ Court on Monday 13th May.
