Officers are reminding the public to keep their doors and windows locked after a recent rise in residential burglaries and shed break-ins in the Billingham East Ward.
Burglars are often opportunistic thieves who will seek to take advantage of doors or windows that are unlocked or easy to force open.
Vehicles have also been targeted so it’s important to keep valuables out of sight and ensure sheds and garages are as secure as possible.
A number of arrests have been made and officers are urging anyone with any information, to please contact Sergeant Boon at Cleveland Police on 101.
