Partnership working between local authority CCTV operators and police officers saw two people located and arrested moments after police received a report of an ongoing attempted break-in at Sports Direct on Redcar High Street earlier today.
Camera operators alerted Cleveland Police about the alleged incident just before 5.10am and numerous units, including response and Matrix officers attended.
A 45-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman were located nearby and arrested on suspicion of burglary and both remain in custody being questioned.
