Two men arrested by the Matrix Team

Two men were arrested after officers from the Matrix Team spotted a suspected stolen vehicle on the A179.

Officers sighted the vehicle, which was reported stolen from an address in Hartlepool in the early hours of this morning (21^st May), as it headed towards the A19.

Following a short pursuit, officers arrested two men and seized the vehicle.

A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of a Class A drug, drug driving, dangerous driving, failure to stop, and failure to provide a specimen.

A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary. They both remain in police custody at this time.
