A174 westbound carriageway reopened following collision

At 1.10pm on Friday 8 November police were called to reports of a collision on the A174 involving a number of vehicles.

A full road closure was in place on the westbound carriageway between the Hemlington slip road and the A19 roundabout and has seen reopened.

A woman is reported to have an injury to her leg. 

Officers are advising drivers to avoid the area and to find an alternative route.

One man has been arrested on suspicion of drug driving and driving without due care.
