Paul Smith, 24, from St Catherine’s Court in Middlesbrough has been sentenced to 22 months in connection with violent disorder.
On Sunday 4th August, Smith was seen on Ayresome Street in Middlesbrough amongst a group of males who were trying to set alight a Biffa bin.
Smith was seen with a lighter and then pushes the bin into the police cordon.
A second bin, a household wheelie bin, was also set alight and pushed into the police cordon.
At Teesside Crown Court on Monday 4th November, Smith was sentenced to 22 months in prison.
