A man has been sentenced to 22 years in prison and five years on extended licence after a number of reports of rape, sexual assaults and physical assaults on young girls.
On Thursday 31st October, Dylan Seago aged 29 from Ferryhill in Durham, appeared at Teesside Crown Court where he was sentenced for rape, a number of sexual assaults and physical assaults.
Seago denied all offences but was found guilty following a trial.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Diane Lee, said: “We will always take action on dangerous individuals like Seago. He clearly poses a danger of females and put the young girls he abused through the ordeal of a trial after denying responsibility.
“He was eventually found guilty by a jury of the offences, which include rape, sexual assaults and physical assaults.
“I am pleased with his sentence and would urge all victims of sexual offences to come forward and report them, so that we can take the appropriate action to bring them to justice and safeguard those who may be at risk of sexual predators.”
